کارآفرینی دیجیتال و رشد اقتصادی: تحلیل آستانه‌ای در اقتصادهای نوظهور آسیایی

چکیده
این مقاله، نقش تعدیل‌گر زیرساخت دیجیتال بر رابطه میان کارآفرینی و رشد اقتصادی در اقتصادهای نوظهور آسیایی را بررسی می‌کند. در حالی که ادبیات نظری بر نقش محوری کارآفرینی در پیشبرد نوآوری و رشد تأکید دارد، شواهد تجربی، به‌ویژه در آسیا، حاکی از یک رابطه پیچیده و مشروط است. بسیاری از مطالعات، کیفیت نهادی را به عنوان متغیر تعدیل‌گر کلیدی شناسایی کرده‌اند، اما با تحول دیجیتالی شتابان، این پرسش مطرح می‌شود که آیا ظرفیت دیجیتالی یک کشور نقشی مشابه یا حتی مهم‌تر ایفا می‌کند. این پژوهش با استفاده از یک الگوی رگرسیون آستانه‌ای داده‌های تابلویی و داده‌های مربوط به شاخص‌های دسترسی دیجیتال، کارآفرینی، رشد اقتصادی و نوآوری (مانند هزینه‌های تحقیق و توسعه و حق‌ثبت‌ها) برای مجموعه‌ای از کشورهای نوظهور آسیایی طی دوره زمانی ۲۰00 تا ۲۰۲4، به دنبال شناسایی اثرات غیرخطی نفوذ اینترنت و دیجیتالی‌شدن بر رشد ناشی از کارآفرینی است. نتایج نشان می‌دهد که تأثیر مثبت کارآفرینی بر رشد اقتصادی تنها پس از عبور زیرساخت‌های دیجیتال از یک "آستانه" مشخص، معنادار و چشمگیر می‌شود. این یافته، دلالت‌های سیاستی مهمی برای کشورهایی مانند ایران دارد که در میانه گذار دیجیتال قرار دارند و نشان می‌دهد که سرمایه‌گذاری صرف در ترویج استارت‌آپ‌ها، بدون توسعه همزمان زیرساخت‌های دیجیتال فراگیر و باکیفیت، ممکن است به نتایج مطلوب در سطح کلان اقتصادی منجر نشود.

This paper investigates whether digital infrastructure moderates the impact of entrepreneurial activities on economic growth in emerging Asian economies. While theoretical literature emphasizes the central role of entrepreneurship in fostering innovation and growth, empirical evidence—particularly in Asia—suggests a complex and conditional relationship. Many studies have identified institutional quality as a key moderating variable; however, with the rapid pace of digital transformation, the question arises whether a country's digital capacity plays a similar or even more significant role. Using a Panel Threshold Regression (PTR) model and data on digital access indicators, entrepreneurship, economic growth, and national innovation (such as R&D expenditure and patents) for a group of emerging Asian economies during the period 2000–2024, the study seeks to identify the nonlinear effects of internet penetration and digitalization on entrepreneurship-driven growth. The results indicate that the positive impact of entrepreneurship on economic growth becomes significant and pronounced only after digital infrastructure surpasses a certain threshold level. This finding has important policy implications for countries such as Iran, which are in the midst of digital transition, highlighting that mere investment in promoting startups—without the simultaneous development of inclusive and high-quality digital infrastructure—may not yield desirable macroeconomic outcomes.
